 Post subject: Hex Code (Help for you!)

Sometimes we see some numbers, like 157 (The world is 157 years old).

We can try to calculate it in Hex, maybe something strange happens.

The DECIMAL number sytem is: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11...
The HEXADECIMAL (hex) number system is: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, F, 10, 11...

With the hex we can find some interesting words or other numbers...

Examples?

Decimals Hex
1 1
10 A
100 64
1000 3E8
157 9D
Using 157 as an Hex number:
343 157

'3, 4, 3'

3 is repeated two times.
And 4 = 3+1.
Casuality?

When I've totally finished developing the app (vb 2008), I'll post it here.

My project isn't still ended, but I found an way to convert to hex/decimal too:

Open the Windows' calculator.
Use it as an Scientific Calculator.
Write the number.
After, click 'hex' on the left...

P.S. I can't send you the app, someone who can help me? (Yes, i readed the message 'can't post exe files...')

If you don't trust me now, i have no problems... I simply don't send anything...

Don't forget octal and binary. Without these, we'd never have fun jokes such as:

* There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those that understand binary and those who don't! :D

* Why do programmers celebrate Christmas during Halloween? Because 25 dec = 31 oct! :lol:

But why are you making a hex calculator? There's a ton of those already! Using Wolfram|Alpha, I easily found that 157 in base 10 (our regular decimal system) is indeed 9d in hex (base 16) and it is 235 in base 8, 2131 in base 4 and 10011101 binary.

It's 'egein hex' or 'Ed gein in hex', saying about an poster in Badland.
That guy said too about the Leatherface, an SA's myth.
So I thinked at the Hex code... Not the octal or the binary.
An opinion is the TRUE presence of the Leatherface, but not in the GTA3.img archive of the game,
but by hard-coding (maybe using hex) other files.
This is also NEARLY impossible.
All the files of the game were explored (The .IMG files are archives, The .TXD are Image-archives, The .DFF are 3D-Models,
The Main.SCM is an compiled archive of scripts -was decompiled, it's only about the missions-, The .Pak are songs, some other
files can be openned with the Windows' notepad, the .GXT files are texts...)
The only file wich may contain the Leatherface data is:
Gta-sa.exe
any .DLL file
That's why it's so hard to hard-coding this game.
